Hire A Car Service for Your Wine Tours

Taking a break from the Moving news to write about some local wineries. If you are new to the area or looking to explore, check out this article original posted on: https://dcmetrobiznews.com/lifestyle/how-to-make-your-wine-tour-unforgettable/

Nationwide, more and more people are getting vaccinated, and that means wine tours are resurfacing in summer 2021. In fact, in many regions, demand is so high that there are more wine events and wine tours on the books this summer than during the average year.

If a wine tour is in your near future, learn how to make the experience a truly memorable one. Here are some tips and pointers to get you started.

Ask Questions

Make your wine tour an unforgettable one by asking questions. Ask questions to learn and to make the most of your experience. If you do not understand the technicalities of wine-making or wine-tasting, a wine tour is a perfect opportunity to ask. Talk to your tour guide or sommelier about taste, body, aroma, color, and more.

Asking questions can also be a great way to enhance your experience. Ask if there are any foods or delicacies that pair well with each wine. That may give you ideas for meals to enjoy after your wine tour, or wineries may even have small food samples, like chocolates, pastries, and cheese, on hand for you to taste with your wine.

Another tip: ask if they have any exclusive wines that are not available to the general public. According to Reader’s Digest, many wineries provide older wines that aren’t necessarily available at the winery for more than a couple of months.

Don’t Be Afraid to Try New Wines

Many people decide that they prefer a certain type of wine, like red wine, white wine, or sweet wine — and stick to it. This can limit your experience — particularly during a wine tour.

Be open to trying something new. According to Wine Spectator, in a blind taste test, even the most experienced wine aficionados cannot distinguish between some reds and some whites. Try the wines that come most heartily recommended by the vineyard, not just your favorites.

Choose the Best Wineries

For a truly unforgettable experience, choose the best wineries. Exactly what that means is up to you. Decide where your priorities lie. Depending on your preferences, you may focus on wineries with the best scenery, wineries with the finest wines and vintages, or even on wineries that go above and beyond and deliver a cultural experience in addition to your typical wine tasting. If you are looking for something along those lines, some wineries also offer historical tours, grand architecture, art exhibitions, and live music.

Visit Off-Season

The most popular time frame to book a wine tour is late August through October. For the best possible experience, visit outside these months. That way, your guide, and your sommelier will be able to devote their full attention to your tour and your questions. Tasting rooms will be less crowded, giving you the opportunity to truly take your time and soak in the experience. Check wineries’ website for off-season hours.

Whenever possible, it is less expensive to visit wineries early in the day or during the middle of the week than it is to visit during the late afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Once again, booking during off-hours will give you more time to fully appreciate your wine tasting.

Give Everyone the Opportunity to Kick Back and Relax

Take the pressure off. Book a limousine service for your wine tour. That way, a chauffeur can safely transport you and your party members to and from the vineyards along the way.

Designating a single party as a safe driver can be an unpredictable experience. While wine tastings focus on sampling wines, not overindulging, spending all day touring wineries can sneak up on you. Work with a trusted limousine service, and everyone can take part without worrying.

After over a year of navigating the coronavirus pandemic, it is safe to enjoy wine tours again. Book a wine tour and make it an unforgettable experience by asking questions, trying something new, enjoying the scenery and/or cultural experience, and by booking a quality limousine service in lieu of appointing a designated driver. Contact RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation today to learn more about our limousine services.

Wine tours are a great way to experience new wines, learn about food and wine pairings, and even meet new people who have similar interests. With spring right around the corner, many people are looking to book their next wine tour with friends and family. The warmer weather and outdoor venue makes wine tours the ideal social distancing spring activity.

Of course, you need a way to get around during your wine tour, and driving yourself can keep you from joining in on the fun. That’s where chauffeured car services come in.

How can a car service make a wine tour more fun?

When you’re on a wine tour, the last thing you want to worry about is paying attention to the road. You want to be able to participate in fun conversations with your friends, look at your phone, and more. When you use chauffeured car services during your wine tour, you can:

  • Focus on having a good time. When you’re the designated driver during your wine tour, it can be hard to enjoy the experience like your friends and family. This is because you need to make sure you’re spitting the wine into a specific cup during the tasting. Not being able to swallow a wine you enjoy can be disappointing, especially when it keeps you from being able to taste the wine completely on different parts of your tongue. The tannins of the wine, for instance, are typically best tasted on the very back of the tongue where your bitter taste buds are located. When you hire a chauffeured car service for your wine tour, you don’t have to worry about actually swallowing the wine you’re tasting. Because someone else is at the wheel, you can just focus on having a good time.
  • Stick together with friends. As a car service, a Sedan can fit anywhere from one to three passengers and their luggage. You can also rent limo services that can fit up to 14 passengers, luxury SUVs that can fit up to seven passengers, and even luxury minibusses with the ability to fit between 26 and 40 passengers. What does that mean for you? Because you’ll be able to fit multiple passengers in one vehicle, you don’t have to worry about being separated from your friend group during your wine tour. Instead, you can all stay together and enjoy the ride without driving in separate vehicles. This is especially ideal for special occasions like bachelorette parties or bridal showers.
  • Relax and enjoy the ride. One of the best things about hiring a chauffeured car service for your wine tour is that you not only get to have someone else take the wheel but you also get to relax and unwind in a luxury vehicle. Car services offer an array of cars including luxury Sedans and SUVs that come with comfortable seats, WiFi, phone chargers, bottled water, and mints so you don’t have to worry about having wine breath between stops. If you have a larger party joining you for a wine tour, you might choose a luxury mini-coach for your ride, which also comes with TVs, a DVD player, Bluetooth, reclining seats, footrests, and even an onboard lavatory.

Is a chauffeured car service safe?

With the proper duty of care, chauffeured car services are completely safe. RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation is committed to the safety and security of its passengers and chauffeurs alike, which is why we require masks to be worn in the vehicles at all times. We also use electrostatic disinfecting sprayers to completely sanitize and clean each and every one of our vehicles. In fact, because our car services use these effective cleaning techniques, it may be safer to use our chauffeured car service than to use other forms of casual transportation such as your friend’s car, which might not be sanitized.

If you’re looking to set up a wine tour and need a professional car service to take your experience to the next level, RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation is the service for you. For more information about our transportation services, contact us today.

Breaux Winery:

In 1994 the Breauxs found themselves captivated with a picturesque piece of Virginia landscape that would rapidly evolve into one of the fastest growing wineries in Virginia. Along with scenic views, there were 3 acres of grapes on the 404 acre property that were planted in 1985. Those original grapes captured the heart of Paul Breaux, President and CEO of Breaux Vineyards, and sparked his entrepreneurial spirit.

The Breauxs soon began making hobbyist wines. Discovering that their home-produced wines were more popular among friends and guests than many commercial offerings, the Breauxs collaborated with Dave Collins to begin producing commercial wines at an even higher level of quality by investing in all new state-of-the-art wine making equipment and using proven vineyard practices, such as planting, harvesting and sorting by hand. In April of 1997, Breaux Vineyards opened its doors to the public.

The Breaux wines have won countless national and international awards including “Best of Class” at the L.A. County Fair Wine Competition. The team works in concert to produce some of the finest new wines available. Here at Breaux Vineyards we are constantly adding to our line of award winning wines. Come visit us at our picturesque vineyards and witness history in the making!

Rember: Wineries are strictly following all guidelines and best practices as established by CDC, VA Department of Health.  They will continue to modify policies as the guidelines change. As always, the safety and comfort of their guests and employees are top priority, and enhanced measures for guests and employees are listed on their websites.
